Here are some of the most commonly asked questions about Bore-Pro
_Q - How is this product different from the other rifle, pistol and shotgun cleaning products on the market today?
_A - As a bore cleaning, Bore-Pro quickly removes all types of bore fouling, including, copper fouling, lead fouling and plastic fouling. At the same time the excess liquid runs down into the action to act as a gun lubricant, replacing the need for additional gun oil. The gun bore and action is cleaned and protected in one fast easy step. In additionBore - Pro is a complete long lasting treatment, it provides a bright clean bore leaving a surface sealed, at the microscopic level, against further fouling, corrosion and wear.
_Q -Can Bore - Pro harm my guns?
_A- No, with the exception of fine wood finishes, Bore - Pro is completely harmless to all materials used to manufacture your rifle, pistol or shotgun. Simply wipe off any excess liquid after treatment and wood finishes will not be harmed. Unlike harsh cleanings Bore - Pro does not dissolve fouling, it breaks the bonds that hold those materials into the microscopic surfaces of the gun's bore
_Q - Is Bore - Pro difficult to use?
_A No, it is almost impossible to make a mistake in using this product. The cleaning and surface conditioning action begins immediately as Bore - Pro comes into contact with any metal on the firearm being treated, no matter how it is applied
_Q - Do I need to thoroughly clean my barrel before using Bore-Pro?
_A - No, Bore-Pro is a complete cleaner and treatment combination. If your bore is heavily fouled, you can use a brush to speed the cleaning action before the first and (in extreme cases) second application. For most firearms, a brush is rarely needed after the initial treatment.
 _Q - How often should I use Bore - Pro ?
_A - Bullet type and velocity are the greatest factors in determining frequency of use. If you are shooting very soft lead bullets or jacketed bullets at velocities over 3500 f.p.s. Bore-Pro should be used more often. For example, a .22, (rim fire) fired over 500 rounds with no visible fouling left in the bore after the test. On the other end of the scale is a wild cat caliber, sometimes known as a "squirt gun". Our test gun was a Thompson Encore with a 14" barrel built by master gunsmith David Van Horn in Phoenix AZ. A "squirt gun" barrel has a .17 caliber bore, but is chambered for a .22 long rifle cartridge. When fired, the bullet is forced through the bore at very high velocity by the extreme pressures resulting from this design. As you can imagine, fouling was a severe problem. After trying several of the top cleanings, we found that Bore-Pro was the only product that allowed more than a few rounds to be fired before a thorough cleaning was necessary.
_Q - How does Bore - Pro increase accuracy?
_A - Bore-Pro conditions the bore, providing a very smooth, uniform and low friction surface to guide the bullet as it travels down the barrel. This minimizes shot to shot velocity variation and increases accuracy
_Q - What types of firearms will Bore - Pro work on?
_A - It's very effective for rifle cleaning, pistol cleaning, handgun cleaning, shotgun cleaning, it will work on muzzle loaders and even air gun barrels. In other words, all types of firearms will benefit from the cleaning and protective effects of this product. It is especially useful on firearms using military surplus ammunition, where Bore - Pro will help to protect against the corrosive effects of the residue left by mercury based primers.
_Q - Does Bore - Pro have any other uses?
_A - Yes. Although it was developed for powder charged weapons it works very well in air guns. Most air gun pellets are pure lead and air gun barrels are made from relatively softer metals. Bore-Pro can eliminate the leading problems and extend barrel life as well as giving slight increases in velocity. Also It can be used as a resizing lube (single stage operations only) providing longer service life for even the most difficult to resize brass. You can use it on all types of precision metal tools and equipment for excellent  wear and corrosion protection. It is not just an excellent bore cleaner!
